The kids can't get enough soccer, basketball, football, swimming, and running. Whatever team sport they do, we love watching them play. One of the things we talk a lot about is how to stay hydrated without adding a lot of junk ingredients.

To keep their team hydrated, the coaches encourage sports drinks as a way to restore and balance electrolytes. While we agree with that goal, we don't always love the ingredient list on some of the popular sport drinks.

Ways to Stay Hydrated this Summer

Tip #1

  • Topping our list of cool ways to stay hydrated this summer is BODYARMOR sports drink. We're delighted to see a new sports drink with electrolytes that contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners. BODYARMOR SuperDrink smells divine and is a great tasting, premium sport drink that is low in sodium and includes coconut water.

Though we currently homeschool, we nominated our old school, Robey Elementary. Robey is a fantastic school that nurtures children and offers many opportunities for gifted students.

Even though we were moving from the district, my son was still offered the opportunity to attend the gifted program.

As a preschooler attending their preschool program, they quickly recognized his strengths and often allowed him to work and play at his own pace. In kindergarten, once again his abilities were nurtured. Then, in first and second grade, he was able to study his special interests in more depth. This kept him interested in school, as he was beginning to hate it due to boredom.

"I already know that." And, he did... We're so thankful the school was paying attention.

If you aren't familiar with Box Tops, when you see that pink logo on your food, you might wonder, "What is Box Tops for Education?".  As homeschoolers, we participate in Box Tops for Education. The kids love to cut out and collect the little pink logos.

In the past, we sent them to our online homeschool teacher for Connections Academy. This is a great way for schools to earn money to purchase items for the classroom. This year, we'll log into eBoxTops and choose our favorite school.
