Meet Leila from Green Rainbow Revolution and Submit Your Creative Ideas

Green Rainbow Revolution?  What it is it?  Is it a blog? A store? A movement? Yes! GRR is all of that and more. While it is still in development stages, there is already a lot going on, and you can be a part of the revolution.   The founder Leila Goldmark has a serious background. She studied Philosophy, Religious Studies, earned a J.D./L.L.M in International and Comparative Law degree, and she has an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she focused on social-eco entrepreneurship, leadership, corporate social responsibility and corporate governance.   Phew... that's the short version. You can read about her in more detail here.  The idea for Green Rainbow Revolution was first born and nurtured during her time at Columbia.

But Leila is much more!  The product of an Architect and an Artist, her story is filled with interesting, impressive opportunities.  Learn more about her artistic side here. Hmm... serious attorney vs. free spirited artist? 

This background has led to GRR's need to focus on both the left and right side of the brain. Fascinated by the connection between art and science, Leila has pulled together an awesome selection of art and educational toys that will spark both sides of the brain.  Children learn through play.  The products at Green Rainbow Revolution will help foster fun activities necessary to grow great minds.

The fun products offered on the site are sustainable or the companies offer sustainability programs. Green Rainbow Revolution is doing the hard work for you. If you're looking for games and activities for kids, you'll find coloring pages and worksheets perfect for homeschool and preschool lessons. There are coupons and clipart to print out too.

You can customize Christmas and holiday cards and invitations right on the website.  In the printable craft category, you can print tons of cute origami activities. There's even a section dedicated to music with sheet music you can print out to play the piano.

The site is super easy to navigate. Printable categories are clearly listed in the sidebar including: invitations, cards, worksheets, lessons, calendars, coupons, calendars, music, games, crafts, activities, and quotes and sayings. There's even a category listing the most recent printables added to the site.

We printed templates from Free Printable Online for a paper craft.

The kids and I printed out the printable activity templates and made paper silhouette art with the animal templates. We cut out the animal templates, traced them onto colored construction paper, and pasted them onto our background. Mayhem loved customizing the animal templates, so  the mouse was scaled for the cat.

Mayhem made a catosaur and mouseosaurus with the free printable templates.

While searching the net for things to do with egg cartons and eggs for a kids Easter theme roundup, I came across the most amazing crafty blogger. I was astonished to see she only had 14 GFC followers. Say whaaat? Well, we'll fix that.

So, rather than doing a round up, I decided to start a new series where I feature amazing bloggers who aren't getting the exposure and blog love they deserve. Pink Stripey Socks hasn't monetized yet. She hasn't got links for a Facebook page or Pinterest, but with some searching I tracked down her Pinterest Boards. She does have a "subscribe to posts" at the bottom of each one and you should. Her ideas are not only creative; they are inspired recycling! I wanted to pin each one.

So, who is the wo-man behind the blog? Leslie describes her crafting as crapty adventures. I love that! Like many of us, her secret dream is to be a children's book author. She hangs her magic glue stick in New Jersey. Leslie, 11 Pinterest Followers today... 1000 tomorrow. This is your calling :)

Hooray! I love this newsletter. It's an inspiration for all people but especially for bloggers, writers, and dreamers. The very first post I stumbled on had me hooked! Someone certainly guided my hand to click on the link. It led me straight to a post about Play-doh.

What you don't know about Play-doh will truly surprise and inspire you. Of course, I love Play-doh; so I had to read more.

So, I scrolled down and clicked on this title for another post:  Don't Mistake Doing What You Love With Doing What's Important. 

Well, someone had given me this advice about a year ago and it resonated. I had to read the article. Awesome. The author, Bradley J. Moore, weighs his options and decides he has done what is best for his family. Who knows where the other path may have lead. 

The newsletter is full of conversations about work, life, and God. Each post in the e-newsletter was inspirational, relevant, and well written. I hope you enjoy it too!
